I have been very grateful for the sport of fishing in my life. Since I was a child, the water was my 'safe place', where I could excel at catching fish and spend time with my family. When I was severely wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device in 2007 while serving in Iraq, I looked down at my mutilated hand and muttered, "I'm not gonna be able to fish." Over the next several hours, days, and weeks, I underwent numerous operations to reconstruct my hand and arm. My right eye was severely damaged and had to be removed. My brain was damaged and through much rehab, I have regained most of my normal abilities. I am very grateful for my wife who sat with me in the hospital, bathed me, fed me, drove me to my appointments. Without her support, I could not have reached the point where I could fish again. Since my medical retirement from the US Army, I have been working very hard to succeed as a competitive angler. The sport of fishing has given me goals, and meaning, and a new love for my life--a very different life than the one I had planned. I am devoted to my God, my nation, my family, and my extended 'fishing family'. I look forward to the challenges and successes as a competitive angler. I have been tournament fishing since 2000, Regional qualifier for Fishers of men tournament trail, national qualifier Fishers of men, Compete on the Paralyzed Veterans of America National Bass Tour, with 2 wins and numerous top 10 finishes, 3 years fishing Bass Champs in texas. 3 articles on Bassmaster.com along with numerous article of my tournaments and articles of Military Service. 13 years of military service (retired in 2009). currently sitting in 2nd in AOY for 2011 on the National PVA Trail... Been using the professors products for 5 years, favorite is Crawfish slick sides which i use on all my plastics plastics. Brent Homan is a true patriot and a testament to us all, we are highly honored to have him on our team!

Ron Ryals

Ron is from Live Oak Florida.  He has been a Professional Fishing Guide at Bienville Plantation for the past 15 years.  He has been fishing tournaments off and on for the same time and in the last 3 years he has been fishing more tournaments.  He has fished the Bassmaster Southern Opens in 2009 and 2010 and also the Paralyzed Veterans of America Bass Tour the last 3 years.  He won the PVA Angler of the Year in 2010 and fished the Federation Nation Championship on the Red River in Shreveport Louisiana in 2010.  Ron has worked numerous boat shows and seminars in the past 3 years with Basscat Boats and Parkway Marine in Tallahassee Florida.
